I absolutely love this place. It's got a nice "homey" neighborhood atmosphere, where everyone seems to know each other. Also, the hot dogs are truly fantastic!!! By themselves, they are full of flavor, but when you add the gourmet toppings, the experience is totally enhanced. I definitely highly recommend this place!!!

Savage Wiener at the Sandwich Works in Newton is always a great choice. It is my nephew's favorite and also one of mine. The service is attentive and friendly, the food is always great and the value is superior. In addition to the great food, make sure that you have an iced coffee with ice cubes made from coffee.

The hot dogs were amazing. I’m originally from New York and had given up on finding good dogs in Boston. I had a Reuben that was great. The corned beef was lean tender and moist. The owner/operators were really friendly and accommodating. I live a couple of towns over but will be coming back often.

We enjoyed 4 great wieners and the toppings that they came with were great. The buns were crispy on the bottom and held together great until the last few bits. Hard to see how any bun could last with all those toppings. Great experience.
